Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Payroll Clerk to join our team at our Decatur, IL office. As a Data Entry Payroll Clerk, you'll play a vital role in maintaining payroll information, entering data into our payroll system, and performing other clerical duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll information, including employee data, hours worked, and benefits

  • Enter payroll data into our payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing administrative support
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Stay up-to-date with changing payroll regulations and procedures

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry, payroll, or a related field
  • Proven ability to follow specific directions and work within standards of accuracy
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field

  • Experience with payroll software and systems, such as ADP or Paychex
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures, including tax laws and compliance
  • Certification in payroll or a related field, such as CPP or FPC

Skills and Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software
