QA Lead, IT/Tech, IT QA Tester / Automation

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-18

TEKsystems is seeking a QA Lead who can manage and guide all aspects of the QA and test management lifecycle. This role is not about building new processes from scratch; instead, it focuses on teaching, enforcing, and operationalizing existing QA processes, ensuring teams follow established standards, timelines, and best practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process oriented, and experienced in hands-on QA leadership within both manual and automated testing environments.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • * Test Planning & Execution
  • * Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to define test cases, ensuring full coverage of business and functional requirements.
  • Convert test cases into a comprehensive test plan and test schedule.
  • Track test execution across teams, ensuring testing stays on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all testers; follow up, unblock, and coordinate to maintain progress.
  • Test Data & Environment Coordination
  • * Understand the test data requirements needed to execute each test case.
  • Ensure appropriate data is sourced or ETL'd into test environments.
  • Close existing organizational gaps by ensuring teams understand how test data ties into the testing process.
  • Defect Management
  • * Own and manage all defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with development teams, product owners, and business SMEs to triage, track, and drive resolution.
  • Utilize Azure Dev Ops for test management, tracking, and status reporting.
  • Process Ownership & Leadership
  • * Reinforce existing QA processes and make sure all practice areas adhere to them.
  • Provide guidance, clarification, and standardization across teams.
  • Support ongoing QA automation efforts (tracking progress-not writing scripts day-to-day).
  • Preferred Required Skills & Experience
  • * Strong background in QA leadership, test planning, and test lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience writing automated test cases and working collaboratively with automation engineers.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks such as:
  • Selenium
  • Cucumber / BDD ("Given/When/Then")
  • Test suites and regression frameworks
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops for test management.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple testers, keep test cycles on schedule, and clearly communicate status.
  • Strong understanding of test data requirements, ETL processes, and test environment readiness.
  • Job Type & Location
  • This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
