Experienced Customer Service Representative – Medical Receptionist (Remote-USA)

Position Overview:

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Medical Receptionist, you'll be responsible for receiving and responding to incoming inquiries and service requests from patients, employees, providers, vendors, and others via phone, email, web portal, and other channels. You'll work closely with our service delivery teams to provide accurate and timely information, establish strong relationships with customers, and identify opportunities to improve our services and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to incoming inquiries and service requests from patients, employees, providers, vendors, and others via phone, email, web portal, and other channels

  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers, utilizing the highest customer service and quality standards
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to identify additional ways to be of service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work as part of a team to support one or more of the service delivery teams
  • Help foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure the privacy and safety of employee and patient information

Essential Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, call center, or related customer service experience (e.g., healthcare, clinical, administrative, hospitality, retail, concierge, etc.)
  • 1 year of experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office, electronic mail, and information systems or database programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
  • Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions

Preferred Qualifications:

* Medical and healthcare experience is preferred

  • Knowledge of processes within one or more of the following functions desired (required for first round of hiring): Human Resources, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle Customer Billing
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives

  • Strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions and priorities
