Key Responsibilities – Be the Heart of the Store

As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the front line of arenaflex's commitment to excellence. Your day‑to‑day duties will include:

  • Efficient Checkout Management: Operate assigned cash registers, process sales accurately, handle cash, credit, and mobile payments, and execute voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges with professionalism.
  • Sales Enhancement: Recommend complementary items, suggest trade‑up products, and highlight promotional offers to boost basket size while respecting customer preferences.
  • Merchandise Presentation: Keep counters and shelves tidy, merchandize products attractively, perform inventory checks, price new items, and assist with stock rotation using the first‑in‑first‑out (FIFO) method.
  • Asset Protection & Compliance: Follow arenaxflex’s loss‑prevention protocols, monitor for suspicious activity, and adhere to state and local regulations for age‑restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco.
  • Display & Promotion Management: Build and maintain seasonal, promotional, and specialty displays, execute store reset plans, and ensure visual standards align with brand guidelines.
  • Food Safety & Placement: Separate raw from pre‑cooked foods, position items according to safety policies, and rotate consumables to maintain freshness.
  • Photo Services Specialist: Provide assistance in the photo department, from digital passport photos to creative prints, and recommend value‑added photo products.
  • Web Order Fulfillment: Monitor online orders via the Picture Care Plus system, pick items accurately, and hand‑off completed orders to customers promptly.
  • Store Maintenance: Contribute to both interior and exterior upkeep, ensuring the store remains clean, safe, and inviting for everyone.
  • Team Collaboration: Respectfully engage with coworkers, support shift leaders, and complete special projects or assignments as directed.
  • Continuous Learning: Attend mandatory training sessions, complete performance‑linked learning modules, and stay current on product knowledge and store systems.

Essential Qualifications – What You Bring to the Table

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a retail, hospitality, or service‑oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently operate point‑of‑sale (POS) technology.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
