Position Overview

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and detail‑oriented Customer Service Representative / Sales Associate to become the first point of contact for our guests. This role blends classic front‑desk service with hands‑on retail responsibilities, including package processing, mail sorting, and equipment operation. Your primary mission will be to ensure every shopper leaves the store with a smile, a solution, and perhaps a few extra items they love—all while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Greet every customer with a warm, professional demeanor; listen actively to their needs, answer questions, and provide product recommendations.
  • Upselling & Cross‑Selling: Leverage your product knowledge to suggest complementary items, promotional bundles, and seasonal specials that enhance the shopping experience and drive revenue.
  • Transaction Processing: Accurately operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, process cash, credit, and mobile payments, and issue receipts while adhering to company policies.
  • Package Management: Pack and label customer orders for courier shipment, ensuring items are secure, correctly addressed, and ready for timely delivery.
  • Mail Handling: Sort and distribute mail to mailbox holders within the store, maintaining an efficient flow of internal communications.
  • Equipment Operation: Confidently use copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and other office technology to fulfill customer requests and internal needs.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the sales floor, fitting rooms, and work areas clean, organized, and hazard‑free; restock merchandise, arrange displays, and perform routine inventory checks.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow associates, supervisors, and management to meet daily targets, share insights, and support a positive workplace culture.
  • Continuous Learning: Seek out product training, attend briefings, and stay current on promotions, policies, and industry trends to become a knowledgeable resource for customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with internet browsing, email, and POS systems.
  • Friendly, upbeat personality with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to dress‑code standards.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes, product lines, and technology.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Previous retail or sales experience, especially in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
  • Experience operating office equipment (copiers, laminators, binding tools).
  • Comfort with basic inventory management and stocking procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt to peak periods, promotional events, and seasonal fluctuations.
  • Reliability and punctuality, especially regarding mandatory Saturday shifts.

Work Schedule & Location

Our store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. We are closed on Sundays. This role requires a flexible schedule, with Saturday availability being a non‑negotiable component. The position is based in person at our convenient Lakeway location:

arenaxflex Shopping Center 2303 Ranch Road 620 South, Ste 160 Lakeway, TX 78734

We welcome candidates who can reliably commute to this site and, if necessary, relocate to Lakeway before their start date.

  • Competitive hourly wage starting at $15.00 per hour, with potential for performance‑based increases.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate personal commitments and academic pursuits.
  • Employee discount on all store merchandise – enjoy the products you sell!
  • Opportunities for advancement into supervisory or managerial roles based on performance and tenure.
  • Ongoing training programs focused on customer service excellence, sales techniques, and product expertise.
