Experienced Customer Service Agent - Airport Operations and Logistics

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team in Seattle, Washington, and contribute to our mission of keeping cargo moving, safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo, baggage, and mail. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather-related risks.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to the customer's destination.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless airport operations and resolving any issues that may arise.

Work Environment and Schedule

As a Customer Service Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced airport environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Your schedule will be based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need to:

  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
  • Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

  • Previous experience in airport operations or customer service.
  • Knowledge of airport procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
