Job Description ESM Prep is seeking energetic and engaging tutors who are content experts in their academic field of study and who are also kind mentors who can support their students holistically. The tutors in this position will primarily be working with students in person, 1-on-1, tutoring them in the areas of high school math and science, mostly at the AP level. We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching. Job Requirements

• 2+ years direct experience 1-on-1 tutoring in many, if not all, of the following subjects: High-level math up to AP Calculus AB if not BC, Ap English/Lit, AP History (US, World, Euro etc), as well as AP Bio/Chem and Computer Science
• College-level tutoring experience and a willingness to train to tutor the SAT/ACT (with training) is a big plus!
• Bachelor's degree
• Availability to tutor during weekdays (usually after 3 PM) and/or weekends (a tutor's typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday). Some weekday sessions will start late due to after-school activities. Scheduling is flexible
• Availability to tutor through June 2024 at a minimum
• Reliable Internet access (fast enough for video conferencing)
• Experience working with students with learning differences is a plus

Compensation/Benefits:

• $60-$70 per hour teaching rate
