Role Description We are seeking a Vendor Success Lead (VSL) to join our Payer Retrieval HIH Team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for multiple of our largest vendors, facilitating meetings, analyzing inventory, and communicating with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role will bring knowledge of the Payer industry, demonstrated ability to problem solve and execute against deadlines, and a strong ability to build trust and rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the department’s largest and most complex vendors, representing the company in all vendor meetings and communications.
  • Lead vendor meetings to review inventory statuses and drive follow-ups to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Review dashboards and inventory data to deliver accurate forecast totals, set priorities, identify risks, and recommend strategies to meet client goals with vendors.
  • Own day-to-day vendor management, balancing multiple projects, competing priorities, and time-sensitive escalations.
  • Regularly review client projects and proactively identify projects pacing behind plan to partner with vendors to course-correct and maintain delivery timelines.
  • Support projects by tracking deliverables and reporting results to leadership and other internal teams.
  • Monitor vendor performance and report gaps, trends, and concerns; provide weekly escalations and updates to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement by playing an active role in creating, refining, and documenting processes, procedures, and tools, documenting all processes through standard SOPs.
  • Manage daily efforts to improve chart retrieval performance from vendors and ensure targets and pacing are consistently met.
  • Own payment reconciliation with vendors and work with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain ownership of project inventory, ensuring scheduling is executed quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners to prepare and deliver files to vendors for scheduling, ensuring all inventory is captured across projects.
  • Maintain and be accountable for department KPIs related to inventory management, ensuring inventory is actively worked and dispositioned appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Analytics, Economics or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Healthcare Technology, Medical Records or Health Information.
  • Prior experience in account management or operations for a healthcare services company or health plan preferred.
  • Understanding of Risk Adjustment and Healthcare/Health IT industry experience.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and frameworks of successful project management from an account support perspective.
  • Demonstrated competency in problem solving, decision making and executing against goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect throughout the organization and with clients.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively and persuasively present data.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and precise analytical skills; demonstrated ability to anticipate vendor needs.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, and conscientious team player with strong attention to detail.

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Project Management coursework or PMP Certification preferred.
  • SQL preferred.
