Manager, Paid Search (SEM)

About the position We are seeking a talented Paid Search (SEM) Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional problem solving and client management skills, a firm grasp on marketing fundamentals, prior team management experience, a proven track record of success with relationship building, and be an expert in paid search marketing with working knowledge of paid social and other media. Sosemo is investing significantly in AI. Therefore, the Paid Search Manager will be expected to both deploy and contribute to developing AI workflow automations. The Paid Search Manager will also be expected to keep up on the latest trends related to AI and search, especially as it pertains to paid aids. The Paid Search (SEM) Manager will be required to wear many hats and roll up their sleeves often. Along with a competitive salary (salary range: $82,500 - $95,000) and benefits, we offer numerous opportunities to earn additional compensation through various programs including a yearly bonus. Our office is located at 26 Broadway. In addition to working with a stellar team, our office has beautiful common areas, monthly events, free snacks and coffee. Currently, we offer a hybrid work schedule. Employees are encouraged to work from the office 2-3 days per week Please note: our office is following all CDC and state guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with proposal development for new and existing clients
  • Manage and delegate roles and responsibilities and tasks to a team of 2-3 strategists and associates and maintain high standards for quality work
  • Develop, catalog and leverage AI prompts for routine work
  • Leverage AI agents for advanced workflows and provide feedback to AI agent owners aimed at process improvements
  • Ensure that the “Sosemo Approach” is followed by the team
  • Function as a strategic expert on the team to help guide both clients and the client services team
  • Work with Operations/Project Management to manage timelines and confirm that all work is delivered in a timely manner levering status reports, hours tracking and project management software
  • Manage clients and ensure satisfaction
  • Conduct keyword research, social listening, analysis/insights/recommendations
  • Conduct inventory assessments and development budget allocation recommendations
  • Structure and setup campaigns
  • Paid search campaign management
  • Develop and optimize ads
  • Participate in PRC reviews for pharmaceutical clients
  • Manage paid media campaigns
  • Demonstrates value against all initiatives by providing monthly/quarterly metrics reports
  • Research and keep up on industry trends
  • Assist with strategy development and team management
  • Develop new marketing services and refine processes Requirements
  • 4-year college degree in marketing, computer science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience managing paid search campaigns
  • Must have Fortune 500 or prior big agency experience
  • Expertise in developing AI prompts for business applications
  • Willingness to leverage AI to automate or enhance most workflows
  • Passion for digital marketing and entrepreneurship
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong presentation skills (Virtually & In-Person)
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Must have basic knowledge of web technologies
  • Must have working knowledge of social networking sites, search engines and app stores
  • Must have expert knowledge of paid search engine marketing
  • Must have working knowledge of paid social
  • Must have stellar team cooperation and training skills (ie. Handling questions from jr. colleagues, troubleshooting, communicating clearly with manager(s))
  • Must have leadership qualities

  • Prior pharmaceutical marketing experience a plus
