We're RPA: an independent advertising agency that puts People First. It's a unique philosophy for a different kind of agency: where we aspire to create work that truly matters to people, for brands that respect and value people, with a team we empower and treat like people. And we do it all in the heart of sunny Santa Monica, California. Why You'll Never Want to Leave Our People First philosophy means creating a culture where people like you can thrive, do meaningful work, and - we hope - stick around for a while. In an industry known for high turnover, people at RPA seem to recognize the value of an environment that truly wants to support our Associates' lives and career growth. Who You'll Be Collaborating With Every day, you'll be teaming up with a diverse, enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals with a smart sense of humor and a strong desire to grow and develop. As part of the team's evolution, this role will contribute to a more holistic media planning approach, with increased exposure to digital planning, execution, and buy management. The Assistant Media Planner partners closely with Media Planners and Supervisors on day-to-day account management, plan development, and campaign execution across channels. This is an entry-level role and does not require a college degree. The role is hybrid, with preference for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA. What You'll Be Working On

  • Assist in formulating and compiling integrated media recommendations across digital and traditional channels
  • Support digital strategy development and the management of digital media buys, in addition to broader media plan support
  • Help execute, manage, and optimize campaigns across channels, including digital
  • Support campaign tracking, pacing, and performance reporting
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting (flowcharts, competitive reports, digital performance summaries, etc.)
  • Compile and review syndicated research and ongoing reports to inform planning and optimization
  • Train, support and manage interns
  • Collaborate with cross-channel partners to support cohesive, integrated plans

How You'll Excel in This Role

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables and vlookups)
  • Comfort working with numbers, media math, and performance data
  • Ability to interpret research and analyze data across channels, including digital
  • Experience with syndicated research tools (Nielsen, Arbitron, MRI) is a plus
  • Strategic thinker who can juggle multiple assignments and shift priorities quickly
  • Interest in gaining hands-on experience with digital media planning and buying within an integrated team environment

Pay and Compensation This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 an hour, which is the equivalent to $36,400 gross pay a year.
