Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Techincal Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing software development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, quality assurance analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure project success. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software engineering, project management methodologies, and excellent communication and leadership skills. Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute project plans effectively.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

2. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional software engineering teams.
  • Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective problem-solving.

3. Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify and engage stakeholders, including clients, product owners, and senior management.
  • Understand and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders regularly.
  • Solicit feedback and incorporate it into project planning and execution.
  • Proactively address stakeholder concerns and manage changes in project scope.

4. Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance analysts to define and implement testing strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Implement effective change management processes.
  • Conduct project retrospectives to identify areas for improvement.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and project management methodologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and learning within the team.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Project Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and project management frameworks.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software development tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Git).
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • PMP or Agile certifications are a plus.
