Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) will work to deliver the key objectives of the function/area of business. This role will be responsible for financial planning & analysis, budgeting and forecasting. The role will provide timely, insightful, user-friendly analytics that enable sound business decision-making; the individual in the role will be expected to be involved in the decision-making process, not just providing data.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide variance analysis
- Provide both analytical support and proactive recommendations to the senior finance and business leaders as needed based upon business results.
- Support business departments with timely reports, value-added analysis, and identify potential performance gaps, recommend modifications to documents, tools, systems and/or processes
- Continuously review and improve all owned processes so that the finance department is more effective and efficient.
- Follow department standards and metrics to drive performance to a high level of excellence
- Maintain open communication with management to help document accomplishments and understand how performance expectations, conduct and organizational missions are linked
- Develop long-lasting, trusted advisor relationships with internal and external Pillar and finance team customers
- Develop KPI dashboards and executive-level presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
- A minimum of 4-6 years in an analytical role
- Strong quantitative and statistical analysis background of key metric data and financial performance indicators in a large, multi-business unit corporation
- Corporate FP&A experiences are preferred
- Excellent spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, sensitivity analysis, look-up functions, complicated formulas, importing/exporting data and creating and editing macros
- General PC and MS Office applications
- Power BI skills are preferred
- Prior experience with Planful planning software and e-Shipping software a plus, not required.
