We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with over 10 years of hands-on experience in managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise-level databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database architecture, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and ensuring data integrity across systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable database systems
  • Administer, monitor, and support databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues in production environments
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database design and deployment
  • Manage database upgrades, patches, and migrations (on-premises and cloud)
  • Support high availability solutions (Replication, Clustering, Always On, Data Guard, etc.)
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong expertise in at least one major RDBMS:
  • Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Deep understanding of: Database architecture and design, Performance tuning and query optimization, Indexing strategies and execution plans
  • Experience with backup/recovery tools and HA/DR solutions
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell)
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows server environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
