Quality Engineer II (Remote)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Quality Engineer II to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance efforts, designing and implementing test strategies, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and contribute to the delivery of exceptional software solutions.

You will join a team of experience Quality Engineers responsible for bug free software delivery by performing Smoke testing, Functional testing, Regression testing. You should be able to test manually as well as be proficient in Automation testing. You should have exposure to different QA testing tools for managing and executing test cases, tracking bugs and reporting status. You should have proven experience of leading and mentoring a team of 5 or more Quality Engineers.

Duties & Responsibilities

As Quality Engineer I, below will be your key responsibilities:

· Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

· Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.

· Ensure version controlling of QA Automation code and implementation of best practices with code quality.

· Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

· Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.

· Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing using Manual as well as automation testing techniques.

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

· Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, identify acceptance criteria, and prioritize testing efforts.

· Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of findings.

· Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and resolve issues in a timely manner.

· Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on quality-related matters and ensure alignment with quality standards.

· Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

· Participate in different Agile ceremonies like Daily sync up, Story refinement, Sprint review, retrospective etc.

· Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance.
