Mortgage Servicing Data Analyst

Location: Remote Department: Mortgage Servicing Reports To: Senior Vice President of Servicing

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Servicing Data Analyst to support servicing portfolio management, subservicer oversight, and strategic initiatives related to servicing retention and monetization of the servicing portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing data-driven solutions, analytics, dashboards, and reporting that support servicing operations, executive decision-making, and portfolio strategy.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in mortgage servicing data, strong knowledge of MSP and hands-on experience with modern data and analytics tools including Snowflake, Power BI, Retool, Python, and JavaScript. This role will serve as a key contributor in leveraging servicing data to improve portfolio performance, strengthen subservicer oversight, and identify opportunities to increase servicing retention and portfolio value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data solutions and analytics to support mortgage servicing portfolio management
  • Build reporting and analytics for subservicer oversight, including operational performance, compliance metrics, and service level tracking
  • Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting using Power BI and other business intelligence tools
  • Analyze servicing portfolio performance including delinquency, runoff, prepayment speeds, recapture, retention, and portfolio trends
  • Support strategies related to servicing retention, recapture, and monetization of the servicing portfolio
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from MSP and enterprise data warehouse platforms
  • Develop automated reporting and data workflows using Snowflake, Python, Retool, and JavaScript
  • Partner with servicing, finance, compliance, and technology teams to define data requirements and reporting needs
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the servicing portfolio and present findings to management
  • Support ad hoc analysis, strategic initiatives, and executive reporting related to servicing operations and portfolio performance

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in a mortgage servicing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform – formerly LPS)
  • Experience working with servicing portfolio data, reporting, and analytics
  • Proficiency with:
    • Snowflake
    • Power BI
    • Retool
    • Python
    • JavaScript
  • Understanding of mortgage servicing processes including boarding, payments, escrow, investor reporting, default servicing, and loss mitigation
  • Experience building dashboards, reporting packages, and data-driven business insights
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into data solutions and reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with subservicer oversight reporting and scorecards
  • Experience with servicing retention and recapture analytics
  • Experience supporting servicing portfolio strategy or MSR portfolio management
  • Experience working in a data warehouse environment and supporting data governance initiatives
  • Experience presenting analytics and insights to senior management and executives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
