[Remote] LTD Case Specialist

The LTD Case Specialist will manage a caseload of long-term disability claims, determining eligibility and updating records while following established policies to resolve claims.

Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned caseload of long-term disability (LTD) claims
  • Determines whether to suspend, terminate, or pay claims
  • Updates current claims records (inputs data)
  • Evaluates claimant eligibility via information received from claimant, attending physician, and employer
  • Follows plans to closure
  • Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to think abstractly
  • Keyboarding skills
