Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typist to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our database, ensuring that our clients' information is up-to-date and secure. If you're a fast typist with excellent attention to detail, a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles, and a passion for delivering high-quality results, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs

  • Type in data provided directly from customers
  • Fill in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Essential Qualifications

* Proven experience as a data entry clerk (preferred but not required)

  • Fast typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
  • A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Good command of English (both oral and written) and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
