Require Homebound Teacher in Goodrich, MI

Job title: Homebound Teacher Company: Genesee Education Consultant Services Job description: Summary: Goodrich Area Schools is seeking a homebound teacher to serve students who are unable to come to school, two forty-five minute sessions a week. Qualifications and Requirements * Must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.

• Must meet highly qualified status for ESSA.
• Must keep a weekly log of services provided to the student
• A self-directed thinker and problem solver.

Essential Functions and Representative Duties

• Knowledge about Common Core State Standards is essential for the grade level of the student (i.e. elementary, middle school, high school)
• Collaborate with colleagues and organize student work for home base instruction
• Direct instruction with the student and prep time for the home based student up to 5 hours a week per student to include the two 45 minute nonconsecutive hours of instruction.
• In person in the student home, at an agreed upon location, via zoom or skype

Work Environment Work is performed per the students? needs including but not limited to in person or virtual setting. There is limited exposure to physical risk. REPORTS TO: Building Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary position depending on student need.
