Engagement Lead

About the Role

At JPA Health, the Engagement Lead is a client-facing delivery leader responsible for owning day-to-day execution across public health and healthcare communications accounts.

This is a hands-on role. You will translate strategy into execution, guide teams, and ensure high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams.

You will partner closely with senior leadership while operating independently as the day-to-day lead across your accounts. You will also work across teams to ensure coordinated, integrated delivery.

This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and can bring clarity and momentum to multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership

  • Own day-to-day client relationships
  • Lead client meetings and status calls
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across accounts

Delivery & Execution

  • Translate strategic direction into clear, actionable plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across workstreams
  • Ensure priorities remain aligned and work progresses efficiently
  • Proactively identify risks and keep delivery on track

Operational Management

  • Manage timelines, scope, and budgets across accounts
  • Monitor burn against scope and adjust plans as needed
  • Support forecasting and reporting
  • Ensure work is delivered on time and aligned to expectations

Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client work
  • Support proposal development and scope creation
  • Contribute to account growth and overall client impact

Team Contribution

  • Act as a steady, reliable presence within the team
  • Support junior team members and day-to-day delivery
  • Help bring structure and clarity in a dynamic environment
  • Contribute to improving processes and team effectiveness

About You

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in healthcare communications, public affairs, or a related agency environment
  • Strong background in client services within an agency setting
  • Experience working with public health, nonprofit, or association clients is a plus
  • Proven ability to own accounts and deliver work independently
  • Strong project, scope, and budget management skills
  • Confident, polished communicator with experience leading client relationships
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in evolving environments with shifting priorities
  • Collaborative team player who supports and elevates those around them
