Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Data Engineer to lead the development of our information pipelines and data centers for OpenAI. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and managing our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of client event data into our data warehouse. Your contributions will have a significant impact on our business direction, and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our scientists to develop new models and bring them to market.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and manage our information pipelines, ensuring all client event data is flawlessly integrated into our data warehouse.

  • Create sanctioned datasets to track key product metrics, including customer growth, engagement, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Foundation, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research, to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Develop and implement robust and scalable data ingestion and processing frameworks.
  • Participate in data design and architecture decisions, bringing expertise and insights to the table.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company standards.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, such as Hadoop, Flink, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3).
  • Familiarity with ETL schedulers like Windstream, Dagster, Regent, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of data storage and ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize data storage code.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
