We are looking for knowledgeable and nurturing college counselors to guide students and families through the process of applying to college, from the initial list to scholarship applications. While your academic qualification and previous counseling experience is important, we know every student is different and our counselors take pride in their ability to connect and empathize with the needs of each one. Put simply, we believe it?s just as important to connect with students emotionally as it is academically.
What We Ask of You
- Maintain an updated and accurate calendar with a minimum availability of 5 hours per week. Openly communicate in advance with our sales team with any scheduling conflicts.
- Have completed at least initial vaccinations and be willing to meet students in-person upon request.
- Provide families with a brief written overview summarizing the main objectives, lessons learned, and relevant action steps for their student after each session.
- Engage with the rest of the Livius Prep administrative team, tutors, and college counselors. This may include but is not limited to attending paid trainings or company all-hands meetings.
- Paid training and access to written subscription-based material such as the Chronicle of Higher Education.
- Hourly rates starting at $50.
- Freedom to complete sessions both online and in-person at one or more of our tutoring center locations.
- Flexible schedule (nights and weekends may be required).
