Responsibilities

As a Dental Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering Telephone Calls: Responding to basic customer questions and/or forwarding calls to appropriate personnel, utilizing knowledge and expertise on insurance and healthcare.
  • Processing Calls: Ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Recording Calls: Processing requests and updating account history with results of inquiry, including proper documentation.
  • Interface with Team Members: Collaborating with team members, management, and customers to resolve customer service issues.
  • Reviewing and Recommending Procedures: Identifying areas for improvement and recommending modifications to procedures and workflow to ensure efficient and effective processing of transactions.
  • Maintaining Composure: Remaining calm and composed in escalated situations, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Operating in a Fast-Paced Environment: Working accurately and efficiently in a dynamic environment, handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Conducting Outbound Calls: Responding to customer direction or other business needs, conducting outbound calls to members.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • GED or High School Diploma: A minimum of six (6) months experience in a dental customer support capacity, with some college preferred.
  • Previous Experience: A minimum of one year of previous experience in a government or private sector inbound customer service center, with prior work-at-home experience desired.
  • Typing Speed and Accuracy: A typing speed of 25 WPM with 90% accuracy, as well as knowledge of basic help desk software, computer software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to bring inquiries to effective resolution, with a focus on written and oral communication.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on responding to inquiries professionally.
  • Teamwork and Emotional Intelligence: Ability to understand your role on a team and identify the correct stakeholders to consult to resolve client inquiries, while managing emotions and maintaining positive energy.

Work at Home Requirements

To work from home, you'll need:

  • High-Speed Internet: A high-speed internet connection via wired ethernet, with an upload speed of 5 Mbps and a download speed of 50 Mbps.
  • Internet Service Provider: A highly stable internet service provider (ISP) with 1% or less packet loss and latency under 100ms.
  • Cell Phone or Tablet: An available cell phone or tablet, with the ability to install our required 2FA software for multifactor authentication.

* Residency: You must reside in the state of California.

Pay Range
