The Process Improvement Analyst delivers measurable business value by embedding directly into cross functional processes to deeply understand operations, identify root causes, and drive data driven improvements. By partnering closely with subject matter experts, this role transforms manual and inefficient workflows into scalable, automated solutions while serving as a hands-on tester and emerging SME through implementation and UAT. They ensure sustainable change by translating business needs into system ready requirements, supporting go lives, and leading post implementation knowledge transfer and training. Through disciplined application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and strong stakeholder engagement, this role improves quality, reduces risk, and enhances operational effectiveness end to end.

What You'll Do

Responsible for continuously improving business processes, quality and operational effectiveness by identifying problems, defining the problem statement clearly and accurately applying a structured and disciplined methodology to identify data-driven root causes. Identifies and leads automation initiatives to transform manual processes into scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Analysis

·        Analyze cross-functional business processes and identify/implement improvements

·        Identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps; design optimized future state processes compliant with applicable standards, quality implications, and regulations

·        Collect, analyze, and interpret data to uncover trends, identify bottlenecks, and validate opportunities for improvement

·        Create clear documentation including process maps, business requirements, and standard operating procedures

·        Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable results

Systems & ERP Support

·        Lead or support cross-functional system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements

·        Serve as a business partner for technology systems process design and optimization

·        Translate operational requirements into system ready requirements

·        Support system configuration, testing (UAT), defect resolution, and go live activities such as data conversion and cutover

·        Perform data analysis and design, test, and troubleshoot detailed reports and/or KPIs

·        Partner with IT and vendors to ensure solutions meet business and control requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

·        Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders

·        Communicate complex process and system concepts in a clear, practical manner

·        Support change management activities including training, job aids, and adoption strategies

·        Support the development of metrics, dashboards, or monitoring tools to track process effectiveness and sustainability

Qualifications:

Education & Credentials

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, information systems, industrial engineering, business, transportation/logistics or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. Lean Six Sigma Certification, PMP, or similar is desired.

Experience

3+ years of experience in process improvement, data analysis, process mapping, Lean Six Sigma Methodology and root cause.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Project.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to indirectly mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trend, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
