Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake & Data Platform)

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-19

mcpk. is connecting the best European software engineers with IT businesses from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. What makes us different from other IT companies? First of all – our philosophy! We believe that we have two kinds of customers – businesses and developers. So we treat each developer as our customer!

Our cooperation is based on one simple principle – you work directly for the company from the DACH region. mcpk., in turn, ensures that everything is functioning well and that you have everything needed for your work, like hardware, insurance, etc. We do not interfere in your daily work as we are big fans of simplicity and transparency.

We are looking for a Lead Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake & Data Platform) with a hybrid profile combining Data Engineering and DevOps expertise, along with strong leadership and management experience, to join a prestigious EU-based product team.

Your qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in a Senior capacity
  • Proven experience in team leadership or technical management
  • Deep, relevant experience with Snowflake, Data Warehouses, and Data Platforms
  • Strong background in building and maintaining complex ETL/ELT data pipelines in production
  • Practical DevOps mindset with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • Proficiency with Terraform or Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid skills with Git and modern development workflows
  • Experience in the Pharma industry is a plus

Your tasks:

  • Lead the data engineering efforts and drive architectural decisions for the Data Platform
  • Design, build, and optimise scalable Data Warehouses and data workflows using Snowflake
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage reliable data pipelines in a production environment
  • Bridge the gap between Data Engineering and DevOps by configuring and maintaining AWS infrastructure
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD tools
  • Work autonomously while fostering collaboration, mentoring peers, and ensuring best practices

What we offer:

  • Work with cutting-edge tools (Snowflake, Terraform, AWS) in a high-scale environment
  • Full remote job with a flexible schedule
  • A long-term B2B/FOP contract
  • Free English and German lessons
  • Compensation paid in EUR

Principles that define us:

  • Long-term collaboration. We prioritize building stable, ongoing partnerships with the clients and developers equally, where you can rely on consistent support and a steady work environment, allowing you to work with us for years, not months.
  • Professionalism. We know what we do, following best practices, continuously learning, and striving for improvement, always open to new ideas and approaches.
  • Integrity and transparency. Our processes are transparent, reliable, and built on mutual respect. We never simplify challenges or misrepresent details, ensuring trust at every step.
  • Safe and open environment. We foster a workplace where you are part of a team, and any concerns or issues can be openly addressed without hesitation, ensuring everyone feels heard and supported.
  • Flexibility and adaptability. Our flat organisational structure enables quick decision-making, while our flexible approach ensures we can adapt to unique situations and resolve issues efficiently.

If you believe you are a great fit, we would love to explore the opportunity to work with you!
