POSITION AVAILABLE: The Assistant Sports Performance Coach is responsible for management, direction and oversight of all aspects of a competitive, progressive strength and conditioning program for all NCAA Division II teams at CSUEB. Create, plan, coordinate, implement, and manage all in-season and out-of-season player development and strength & conditioning.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION: GOALS/RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK ACTIVITIES
Coordinate, implement, plan and coach all in-season and out-of-season player development and strength training.
Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the strength and conditioning space.
Oversee daily operation of sports performance interns and report to Asst AD of Sports Medicine & Performance each semester on the progress and development of the intern program..
In collaboration with the sports medicine staff, provide guidance and education to coaches, student-athletes, and staff on proper nutrition, most importantly pre and post workout nutrition, sleep training, while ensuring the health and safety of the student-athletes is paramount.
Review student-athlete injury reports and generate appropriate strength and conditioning accommodations based on injury, practice and playing status.
Assist the Asst AD for Sports Medicine and Performance in developing and monitoring the sports performance program budget, including, but not limited to maintaining accurate inventory records, supply requests and equipment repairs/servicing.
Other duties as assigned.
SALARY: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,168 per month to $6,946 per month.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field is the minimum requirement for appointment at this level.
- Two years of strength and conditioning or coaching experience, preferably in the collegiate, professional or private sector(s).
- CSCS certification
- Valid CPR with AED and first Aid certification
- Valid California Drivers License
- Other Industry Standard Certifications preferred (NASM, USAW, etc)
