Shine on as Regional Director of SESI Schools

The Regional Leader is responsible for driving the performance, quality, and growth of SESI’s special education programs, DAEP partnerships, and district collaborations across Texas. This leader will oversee multi-site operations with a focus on delivering strong student outcomes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and building high-performing teams. The role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can align program execution with district priorities while advancing SESI’s reputation as a trusted partner for students with complex needs.

SESI is investing in regional leadership to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across programs. This role is critical to strengthening district partnerships, improving outcomes for high-need student populations, and ensuring programs operate with excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership Provide overall leadership and direction across regional programs to ensure high-quality instruction, consistent execution, and measurable student outcomes Oversee academics, behavior supports, operations, enrollment, and leadership development across multiple sites

Special Education Leadership Ensure full compliance with IDEA, TEA, and district-specific requirements Oversee IEP implementation and instructional quality across programs Guide staff and district partners on best practices, including specialized programming for students with autism spectrum disorder

DAEP Oversight Lead and strengthen DAEP partnerships across the region Monitor student progress, transitions, and program effectiveness Support districts in enhancing alternative education strategies and interventions

Capacity Building and Coaching Design and deliver training and coaching initiatives for educators and district partners Support implementation of evidence-based academic and behavioral practices, including ASD-focused supports Track and measure impact through student outcomes and program data

Operational Leadership Drive regional performance across staffing, enrollment, and financial metrics Ensure operational discipline and program sustainability Identify and execute on strategic growth opportunities

District Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with superintendents and district leadership teams Represent SESI in key meetings, forums, and statewide discussions Serve as a trusted advisor on complex student needs and program design

Strategic Priorities  Align leadership, systems, and execution across all regional programs Strengthen district partnerships and elevate SESI’s market presence Ensure consistent compliance and program fidelity Expand training and capacity-building initiatives Identify and pursue disciplined, strategic growth opportunities

Ideal Candidate Profile Demonstrated leadership experience in Texas K to 12 education, with a focus on special education or alternative education Experience designing or overseeing programming for students with autism spectrum disorder. Strong knowledge of TEA regulations and compliance frameworks Proven ability to lead multi-site or regional operations Track record of building strong district relationships and influencing senior stakeholders Experience launching, scaling, or improving education program

Qualifications:

Credentials Master’s degree preferred Special education certification or equivalent experience  Significant experience within Texas education systems strongly preferred
