Job Description

As a Global Technical Consultant (GTC), you will be a strategic technical advisor across Rockwell Automation's most critical global accounts. You will blend external customer engagement with internal enablement—driving architectural consistency, accelerating product adoption, and translating field insights into actionable innovation. You'll be the connective tissue between customer needs and Rockwell's technical ecosystem, ensuring alignment, trust, and transformation at scale. You will report to the Director, Global Industry Consulting- CPG.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build deep relationships with global customers, providing technical leadership across architectures, solutions, and product introductions.
  • Lead pre-sales technical support for global projects, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Review and influence global standards, installation documentation, and architectural frameworks.
  • Provide innovative responses to customer use cases and capture product requirements for roadmap input.
  • Align global/local RA teams (Sellers, BU, DT) with account-specific standards and technical strategies.
  • Organize recurring calls with regional teams to promote new product adoption and architectural consistency.
  • Facilitate structured knowledge transfer between field teams and Product Managers
  • Lead internal forums to exchange ideas, share use cases, and inform solution development.
  • Represent Rockwell Automation in global marketing campaigns, technical showcases, and industry events.
  • Contribute to messaging strategies that highlight customer success and technical differentiation.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to trave 30% of the time to customers, some international travel may be required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical related field.
  • Typically requires of 5+ years in technical consulting, solution architecture, or pre-sales engineering within industrial automation or manufacturing.
  • Experience engaging global accounts and navigating complex environments.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, IIoT, cloud architectures, and OT/IT convergence.
  • Experience presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $141,600.00 - 212,400.00 USD Annual, of which 80% is base salary and 20% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
