Freelance Graphic Designer
About Didax Didax has been a leader in math education for 50+ years, creating hands-on math manipulatives and resources that make learning math engaging and effective for PreK–12 students. Position Overview We’re seeking a junior-level freelance graphic designer for project-based work focused on packaging, print materials, and branding execution. Potential for ongoing projects. You’ll primarily work within established brand guidelines, executing clean, professional designs across a range of educational products and marketing materials.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce packaging for educational products under the direction of the lead designer.
- Create print materials such as labels, activity guides, flyers & brochures.
- Support brand consistency efforts by applying existing brand standards across assets
- Prepare print-ready files, including proper setup for production
- Work with dielines and ensure accurate layout for packaging
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
•Junior-level experience in graphic design (freelance or in-house)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating print and/or packaging work
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
Solid understanding of:
- Print production processes
- File setup and prepress requirements
- Working with dielines
- Ability to follow and execute within an established brand style guide
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Nice to Have
Skills
- Book or curriculum layout design experience
- Motion graphics or video editing skills
- Experience with Adobe After Effects
