Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. Attention to detail is crucial as you discern what is being said, familiarize yourself with legal terminology, and ensure excellent grammar in your work. Your main tasks will involve processing audio recordings and strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

Key Requirements To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: • Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription. • Excellent listening skills. • Ability to adhere to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment. • Proficiency in typing speed and accuracy. • Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive). • Ability to pass a background check. • Familiarity with legal terminology. • Court reporting students will also be considered. • Currently not available to Massachusetts or California residents.
