Our client, a specialist recruitment consultancy, is seeking an experienced Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Recruiter to join their growing team in Cincinnati, Ohio, US . This crucial role focuses on sourcing and placing highly specialized talent within the dynamic life sciences sector, covering roles in research and development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and commercial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the scientific and business aspects of the biotech and pharma industries, including knowledge of drug development pipelines, regulatory pathways, and scientific disciplines. You will have a proven ability to engage with highly educated scientists, researchers, and commercial professionals. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for specialized roles within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies to identify candidates with specific scientific, clinical, and regulatory expertise. Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate technical qualifications, research experience, and cultural fit within biotech/pharma companies. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including R&D departments, manufacturing sites, and commercial teams. Cultivate a deep network of professionals in areas such as molecular biology, chemistry, pharmacology, bioinformatics, clinical research, and regulatory affairs. Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, and emerging scientific fields. Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and best practices in recruitment. Manage candidate pipelines and ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience. Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and specialized scientific recruitment tools effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy), Biotechnology, or a related scientific field. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) is a plus. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in recruitment, with a demonstrated focus on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Proven success in recruiting for roles such as Research Scientists (various disciplines), Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Regulatory Affairs Specialists, Drug Safety Associates, Process Engineers, Biostatisticians, etc. Strong understanding of R&D processes, drug development lifecycle, GMP/GLP regulations, and key industry trends. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific concepts and requirements. High level of organization and attention to detail. Experience with sourcing tools and platforms relevant to scientific talent. A results-driven attitude and a passion for advancing life sciences through talent acquisition.
