Key Responsibilities

Develop optimal delivery routes for the fleet considering factors such as distance, delivery windows, traffic conditions, and vehicle capacity. Utilize specialized route optimization software and GPS technology to plan and adjust routes dynamically. Analyze route performance data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure practical and feasible route plans. Update route information and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders. Contribute to the strategic planning of delivery networks and operational efficiencies. Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to enhance route planning. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies. Prepare reports on route efficiency, cost savings, and delivery times. Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals and service level agreements.

Requirements

Proven experience in route planning, logistics coordination, or a related transportation role. Proficiency with route optimization software (e.g., Route4Me, OptimoRoute, Descartes) and mapping tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Familiarity with DOT regulations and transportation best practices. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus. Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace. Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Proactive approach to identifying and solving logistical challenges.
