[Remote] Full Stack Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ascendant Insurance Solutions is a Florida-based Managing General Agency specializing in personal and business insurance products. They are seeking a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain business-critical applications, focusing on APIs, data flow, debugging, and scalable system design.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET-based web applications and APIs
- Design and consume RESTful APIs
- Debug issues across UI, API, and database layers
- Collaborate with QA and participate in testing efforts
- Maintain and improve legacy systems while building modern solutions
- Follow Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
- Participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows
- Maintain high productivity (50+ tasks daily) while ensuring accuracy and quality
Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack.NET Developer (required)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Solid experience building REST APIs
- Experience with C# and Entity Framework
- Strong SQL Server knowledge
- Understanding of Clean Architecture and SOLID
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git and pull request workflows
- Ability to understand systems end-to-end (UI → API → DB)
- Ownership and accountability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to write testable code
- Experience collaborating with QA
- Understanding of automated testing principles
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular) is a plus!
- Experience with Azure Functions
- Experience with Azure/cloud environments
- Experience with legacy systems (WebForms, MVC)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline
- Exposure to modernizing legacy applications
