[Remote] Director, Agentic Content Orchestration
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Perficient is an AI-first global consultancy disrupting the conventional consulting model. The Director, Agentic Content Orchestration is responsible for building and scaling the agentic content Center of Excellence, leading client engagements, and constructing the necessary operational frameworks to adopt agentic content orchestration safely at scale.
Responsibilities
- Construct the CoE from the ground up: design the operating model, team structure, delivery ceremonies, and support mechanisms
- Own the practitioner activation funnel: recruitment into the program, onboarding, certification, and ongoing support for practitioners across Perficient and client teams
- Architect and run a high-throughput train-the-trainer program, standing up local champions across Perficient delivery teams and client organizations
- Build the reusable assets - patterns, playbooks, and evaluation harnesses - that make every engagement faster and safer than the last
- Hire, coach, and develop the core CoE team, owning performance management and career development
- Lead agentic content orchestration engagements for enterprise clients, owning delivery accountability from architecture through governed production deployment
- Enforce the CoE's orchestration architecture on every engagement: single-agent and multi-agent patterns, prompt architecture, tool calling and MCP integration, memory and session management, RAG, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation, and observability
- Partner with client product and security leadership so agent systems meet enterprise security, compliance, and audit expectations
- Drive delivery execution: sprint cadence, resolution of complex technical and delivery blockers, and shipping production-ready agents on committed timelines
- Support pursuits, scoping, and estimation for agentic orchestration work, representing the CoE in client pitches and senior forums
- Define the reference architecture and the golden rules for platform usage: brand safety constraints, legal compliance baselines, and data privacy boundaries for content agents
- Structure access tiers, workspace permissions, and approval gates required to safely onboard new teams and clients
- Drive change management toward automated execution, aligning leaders across Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and IT without relying on direct authority
- Design and maintain the intake engine - scoring rubrics and priority matrices - used to evaluate, queue, and accept automation requests from business units and client teams
- Standardize fragmented, manual content workflows into predictable, AI-ready blueprint templates
- Act as the primary liaison to platform and infrastructure partners, owning vendor relationships, roadmap alignment, and tooling decisions for the CoE
- Evaluate emerging platforms, frameworks, and models; fold what's real into the orchestration strategy and ignore what's noise
- Build executive dashboards measuring adoption velocity, operational time saved, content throughput, and CoE return on investment
- Establish the feedback pipeline to log, track, and resolve agent failures, output errors, and brand guideline deviations as adoption scales
- Direct continuous tuning of content sub-agents (authoring, QA, compliance) to raise quality and reduce friction for a growing user base
Skills
- 10+ years across technology delivery, content systems, or operations leadership, including 5+ years leading teams, with a proven history of building a Center of Excellence, shared services unit, or enablement capability from the ground up
- Deep expertise in production AI agent systems (multi-agent orchestration, prompt architecture, RAG, tool integration via MCP, memory, evaluation), whether you built them yourself or led the teams that did; expect us to ask what you shipped, what broke, and what you changed
- Demonstrated success driving rapid platform adoption across dozens of enterprise users on tight timelines
- Fluency in enterprise content ecosystems: workflow platforms (e.g., Workfront, Jira), enterprise CMS and DXP (e.g., AEM, Sitecore, Optimizely, Sanity), and agentic content platforms (e.g., Gradial)
- Exceptional change management and cross-functional negotiation skills, with a record of shifting operational culture across siloed teams without direct authority
- Client-facing leadership skills: you can explain an orchestration architecture to a CISO and a CMO in the same meeting, and both leave knowing what to do next
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Hands-on software or AI engineering background
- Deep delivery experience in BFSI or HCLS, where audit, model risk, and release controls shape AI practice
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, AI governance frameworks, and enterprise model risk management
- Prior consulting or SI delivery leadership
