[Remote] Associate Director, Program Management

Zura Bio Limited is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing novel therapeutic candidates for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The Associate Director, Program Management will drive integrated planning and maintain program timelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate priorities and effective execution of development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain integrated cross-functional program plans, dashboards, and timelines, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, development objectives, key milestones, and value inflection points
  • Prepare high-quality executive-level presentations, governance materials, program updates, and board-facing content in collaboration with the Asset Lead and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Partner with the Asset Lead and study leads to plan and facilitate effective development team meetings, manage agendas, document decisions and action items, and ensure follow-through across time zones
  • Support scenario planning and tradeoff discussions by organizing inputs, clarifying assumptions, and documenting decisions
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively to identify, escalate, and resolve bottlenecks that may impact timeline, scope, or execution
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and maintain visibility to risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans to support timely escalation and alignment with company goals
  • Leverage Smartsheet and other project management tools to build, maintain, and optimize program timelines, dashboards, action trackers, and reporting mechanisms that support cross-functional visibility and accountability
  • Support strong program governance through transparent reporting, clear accountability, escalation pathways, and timely documentation of decisions and follow-up actions
  • Maintain cross-functional risk, issue, dependency, and decision logs, ensuring timely follow-up, mitigation planning, and escalation where needed
  • Support effective execution in a highly outsourced development model by coordinating with CROs, vendors, consultants, and internal functional stakeholders to track deliverables, surface issues, and ensure timely escalation and resolution
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with scientific, clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders, adapting level of detail and messaging to the audience

Skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences, including 3+ years of direct project or program management experience
  • Strong understanding of biotech development processes
  • Experience managing projects across international teams, particularly in the UK and US
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project)
  • Experience working in an outsourced biotech operating model, including coordination with CROs, external vendors, consultants, and cross-functional internal teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across geographically diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or business-related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience working at a fast-paced biotech company preferred
