[Remote] Senior Tax Accountant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will deliver high-quality tax services to a diverse range of clients. The role involves managing complex tax returns, conducting tax research, and mentoring junior accountants while emphasizing work-life balance and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of compliance forms for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Preparation of tax return workpapers and supporting schedules in accordance with professional standards
- Analyze financial information such as balance sheets, fixed asset ledgers, and income statements during the tax preparation process
- Identify accounting, business, and tax issues/opportunities and develop solutions/recommendations
- Perform tax research and summarize conclusions in written form
- Assist with training and mentoring junior tax accountants
- Communicate recommendations clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Handle special projects as needed
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with partners to develop skills necessary for account management responsibilities
Skills
- 3-4+ years of experience working in a CPA firm
- CPA or EA license
- Experience with complicated business tax returns, including tax planning and real estate
- Strong communication skills and a relationship-based approach are essential
- Technological proficiency in a paperless office environment is required
- Must reside in California
- Bachelor's is preferred
- CPA license is preferred
