[Remote] Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optomi is a company seeking a Project Manager to provide leadership for multiple concurrent Business and Product projects. The role involves developing delivery plans, adhering to PMO best practices, and ensuring the success of the programs by monitoring performance and managing diverse project teams.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and control project schedules ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget
- Lead and communicate program/project scope, goals, and responsibilities
- Establish clear project sponsor and stakeholder expectations
- Proactively manage program tollgates, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Develop and maintain reporting procedures and monitor performance in project control activities
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in project management
- Solid understanding of PMO, SDLC, and governance best practices
- Proficient with project management software tools and MS Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to provide competent and proactive leadership
- Experience with State and local assistance programs
- PMP Certification
- Experience in vendor management and application development
