[Remote] Principal Consultant – Full Stack Developer

The Principal Consultant – Full Stack Developer will engage in development for the analytics and data portion of the Anti-Money Laundering Tool Suite, creating innovative technical solutions to maintain and grow the client base.

Responsibilities

  • Highly motivated problem solver with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Seasoned developer for L3 support and maintenance
  • Debugging and developing new code in Java and Python
  • Designing, implementing, and enhancing distributed parallel data analytics software for AML
  • Configuring and maintaining Hadoop-based platforms for Big Data parallel processes
  • Using advanced techniques (indexing, caching, estimating, etc.) to improve code efficiency
  • Gathering and sequencing business and technical requirements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex data and processing issues
  • Integrating designed data analytics into a larger software ecosystem
  • Learning new methods, frameworks and languages to ensure optimal solutions
  • Understanding and communicating complex technical solutions in the
  • AML/KYC/EDD domain and evangelizing solution to clients
  • Willing to work on-call shifts requiring flexible work hours including weekends and holidays

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the IT industry
  • Experience with Big Data & Data Analytics
  • Experience with Angular framework
  • Experience using distributed and parallel computing technologies, including Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark, to write batch and streaming analytic processing jobs
  • Experience demonstrating NoSQL database systems, including HBase or a similar data store
  • Experience in XML, JSON
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms, statistics, operations research or data analysis
  • Experience implementing and demonstrating Elasticsearch or a similar indexer
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Exemplary technical communications skills
  • Experience with git
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience working with other big data technologies (Kafka, Neo4J, Flink, Ignite, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with implementing rapid response query solutions on Big Data platforms, including indexing for combinations and variations of temporal, spatial, and textual
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL
  • Experience with exposing query and analytic capabilities as RESTful services
  • Experience with Scala, R
  • Experience teaching and leading technical conversations
  • Familiarity with visualization and user interface technologies
