Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Engineer at arenaxflex, you will be at the front line of our client‑centric strategy. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear business value, help prospective customers understand the benefits of arenaflex Cloud, and support existing clients in realizing their digital transformation goals. This is a unique opportunity for recent graduates or early‑career professionals to launch a rewarding career in cloud engineering, consulting, and customer success—all from the comfort of a remote workspace.

Role Overview

The Customer Engineer role blends technical acumen with strong communication skills. You will work closely with the Specialized Outreach teams, product marketing, and engineering groups to deliver tailored solutions that address each client’s unique challenges. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve data entry, solution design, technical presentations, and collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry for client onboarding, solution configuration, and project documentation.
  • Identify business and technical requirements by engaging directly with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Develop and deliver customized technical briefings, white‑board demos, slide decks, and product overviews that illustrate the value of arenaflex Cloud services.
  • Lead small‑scale technical projects, including proof‑of‑concept implementations, pilot deployments, and solution validation activities.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to craft compelling messaging that aligns with industry trends and customer pain points.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid responses, request‑for‑information (RFI) documents, and technical proposals.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on feature gaps, performance issues, and emerging customer needs.
  • Travel virtually to client sites, webinars, and industry events as required to support sales cycles and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously expand your expertise in arenaflex Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, micro‑services architectures, and emerging cloud technologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical role that involved client interaction, solution design, or distributed systems support.
  • Fundamental understanding of cloud concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience with government or public sector clients, especially handling sensitive or classified data (e.g., TS/SCI clearance).
  • Hands‑on experience building scalable architectures using APIs, micro‑service frameworks, and platform‑as‑a‑service (PaaS) solutions.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for web applications, network security, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with DevOps toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Exposure to modern software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging trends in cloud computing, AI/ML, and edge computing.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Customer Empathy: A genuine desire to understand client challenges and help them achieve business outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across cross‑functional teams, sharing knowledge, and building consensus.
  • Presentation Skills: Confidence delivering technical demos, webinars, and in‑person briefings.
