If you are searching for meaningful remote work where your attention to detail directly impacts real lives, arenaflex offers the opportunity to do work that matters — from the comfort of your home.

Position Overview: Phone & Chat Credentialing Specialist

The Phone & Chat Credentialing Specialist at arenaflex is a dual-channel role combining inbound and outbound communication, online credential verification, and customer support for nurses seeking shifts at healthcare facilities. This position is ideal for individuals who are equally comfortable navigating multiple chat windows as they are engaging in meaningful phone conversations. You will serve as the bridge between clinicians and the facilities that depend on them, verifying credentials, confirming shift eligibility, and providing timely updates to nurses checking on the status of their assignments.

As a vital member of our credentialing operations, you will be trained extensively during a comprehensive three-week paid training program, equipping you with the tools, scripts, and systems knowledge needed to thrive. Once onboarded, you'll work scheduled shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday, in a full-time capacity of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely, professional manner, maintaining service quality standards throughout each interaction.
  • Simultaneously navigate and respond within multiple live chat channels, ensuring no message goes unattended.
  • Follow established communication scripts and guidelines when handling various topics including credential verification, shift status inquiries, and general support questions.
  • Identify customer (nurse) needs, clarify information through active listening, and provide accurate solutions or alternatives as appropriate.
  • Access arenaflex's internal systems and client-specific resources to accurately process requests and verify credentials.
  • Perform accurate data entry while balancing customer service excellence, ensuring records are updated promptly and correctly.
  • Navigate online platforms efficiently to verify nurse credentials against facility requirements.
  • Process shift sign-up requests and confirm whether the requesting nurse meets the necessary credentialing standards for the selected facility.
  • Skillfully transition between tasks — phone, chat, and data work — without loss of efficiency, focus, or composure.
  • Send written confirmation messages to nurses detailing whether their credentials are valid for their selected healthcare facility.
  • Follow up via phone with nurses inquiring about the status of their shift pickup requests.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance, remaining available at your workstation during all scheduled times.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positivity in every customer interaction, regardless of call complexity or volume.
  • Flexibility to cross-train on additional functions or client accounts as business needs evolve.

  • Communication Skills: Strong phone presence, clear verbal communication, and active listening capabilities.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Each interaction may present unique questions; identifying needs and researching solutions is part of the daily flow.
  • Time Management: Balancing multiple chat channels while handling phone calls requires disciplined prioritization.
  • Empathy and Professionalism: Nurses are often coordinating shifts around demanding schedules; a supportive, respectful tone goes a long way.
