Why This Role Matters

Our Data Entry & Manufacturing Engineering team is the engine that drives the creation of robust, cost‑effective, and high‑quality hardware. As a Remote Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in translating product designs into repeatable, efficient manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with product managers, design architects, and supply‑chain partners to ensure that every component fits together flawlessly, supporting arenaflex’s mission to deliver unparalleled performance to our customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage flexible manufacturing processes and systems for server‑farm hardware, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and scalability.
  • Partner with Product Management, Design, and Operations teams to identify and mitigate potential manufacturing risks early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Analyze complex design data to create data‑driven manufacturing strategies that enhance efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Lead the evaluation, qualification, and continuous improvement of suppliers, emphasizing future capacity and technology readiness.
  • Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools to generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Requests (ECR).
  • Drive the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, ensuring accurate configuration and BOM structures throughout product revisions.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and 8D problem‑solving methodologies to streamline production flow and reduce waste.
  • Support high‑voltage civil engineering projects related to server‑farm construction, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel up to 30 % of the time to supplier sites, manufacturing facilities, and data‑center locations to oversee process implementation and provide hands‑on guidance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in assembly, quality, reliability, or product design roles, with a proven track record of delivering high‑volume hardware.
  • At least 6 years of experience managing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, including BOM creation and change management.
  • Five (5) years of experience planning and executing civil high‑voltage projects for data‑center or server‑farm development.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence electrical design and manufacturing processes, driving improvements in cost, quality, and throughput.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data and translate it into actionable manufacturing plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading initiatives that improve yield and reduce cycle time for high‑complexity, high‑volume parts.
  • Hands‑on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and 8D problem‑solving frameworks.
  • Background in commissioning and scaling server‑farm infrastructure, including power distribution and cooling systems.
  • Proficiency with PLM and PDM software platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Autodesk Vault).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams remotely.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of electrical design, high‑voltage systems, and manufacturing processes for large‑scale hardware.
  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects from concept through production, ensuring on‑time delivery and adherence to specifications.
