About arenaflex

arenaflex is a global leader in visual discovery, helping millions of users each day turn ideas into reality. Whether someone is planning a home renovation, searching for a new recipe, or looking for inspiration for a creative project, arenaflex provides the platform where imagination meets actionable insight. Our mission is to empower people to create a life they love by delivering personalized, discovery‑driven experiences. As we continue to expand our data‑driven capabilities, we are looking for a seasoned product leader who can shape the future of our data warehouse and business intelligence ecosystem.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of arenaflex. With an exabyte‑scale data lake, more than 400,000 data tables, and thousands of daily queries, our data infrastructure powers everything from machine‑learning recommendation engines to strategic product decisions. The Senior Product Manager – Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence will be the champion that bridges the gap between raw data and actionable insight, ensuring that internal teams—product, engineering, analytics, and customer support—can access reliable, fast, and democratized data.

Role Overview

Based in Ohio, this full‑time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32 and a hybrid work model that blends remote flexibility with collaborative in‑office days. You will lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for arenaflex’s data warehouse platform, driving roadmap, feature definition, and adoption across the organization. Your focus will include supporting internal call‑center and customer‑help teams that rely on accurate data entry and retrieval, ensuring that every interaction with arenaflex’s users is informed by high‑quality data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Stakeholder Advocacy: Gather requirements from internal customers—including call‑support agents, product managers, data scientists, and finance teams—to understand their data needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Product Vision & Roadmap: Define and communicate a long‑term vision for the data warehouse and BI tooling, aligning with arenaflex’s strategic objectives and engineering capabilities.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, data science, security, and operations to design scalable, secure, and performant data solutions.
  • Innovation & Experimentation: Identify high‑impact, high‑risk opportunities (e.g., new data quality frameworks, real‑time analytics pipelines) and champion proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
  • Product Evangelism: Drive adoption of new data tools and features through training, documentation, and hands‑on support for internal teams.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full product lifecycle—from ideation and development through launch, maintenance, and eventual sunsetting of legacy components.
  • Performance & Impact Measurement: Establish KPIs (e.g., query latency, data reliability, user satisfaction) and use data‑driven insights to iterate on product improvements.
  • Scalability & Democratization: Build self‑service capabilities that reduce reliance on data engineers for routine queries, enabling analysts and support staff to retrieve insights independently.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement governance processes that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Rapidly address urgent data‑related incidents that affect customer support operations, ensuring minimal disruption to end‑users.

Essential Qualifications

  • 7+ years of combined industry and post‑graduate experience in data‑intensive environments, with at least 5 years in a product management or senior product ownership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable product outcomes in data warehousing, analytics, or related technical domains.
  • Deep understanding of modern data warehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and large‑scale query tooling.
  • Strong technical foundation: proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language such as Python or R.
  • Experience managing complex data pipelines, data modeling, and data governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments and to make data‑driven decisions under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine‑learning data pipelines and model‑training workflows.
  • Background in building self‑service BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for non‑technical users.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for compliance.
  • Prior experience in a consumer‑facing technology company that emphasizes user‑centric product design.
  • Track record of mentoring junior product managers or leading cross‑functional product teams.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, anticipate future data needs, and craft a roadmap that balances short‑term wins with long‑term vision.
  • Analytical Acumen: Comfortable working with large data sets, interpreting trends, and making evidence‑based product decisions.
  • Collaboration: Strong relational skills to build trust across engineering, analytics, support, and executive leadership.
  • Customer‑First Mindset: Deep empathy for internal customers (call‑support agents, analysts) and a commitment to delivering tools that make their jobs easier.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to pivot priorities as business needs evolve, while maintaining focus on core objectives.
  • Leadership: Ability to influence without direct authority, rallying teams around a shared vision and holding them accountable to high standards.
