[Remote] Senior Forensic Engineer - Mechanical
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. YA Group is an international professional services organization specializing in forensic consulting and engineering. They are seeking a Senior Forensic Mechanical Engineer to evaluate MEP systems and oversee investigative projects, ensuring timely and professional project deliverables while maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and serve as the primary point of contact
- Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to keep projects on track
- Conduct site visits and testing to gather data across property types
- Perform site visits and lab examinations to collect data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties
- Produce reports that combine inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root cause and make recommendations on repair or replacement
- Support regional growth through recruiting and business development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while generating new work
- Partner with business development on conferences and client outreach
- Review and interpret relevant building codes as necessary for issues about the scope of work
- Oversee the development of repair or replacement design scope, as needed
- Make independent decisions for projects including selection of analysis and testing methods and allocating resources relevant to the project
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Active PE license
- 10+ years of forensic mechanical engineering experience or relevant design experience
- Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
