[Remote] Financial Analyst: Woodbury, MN

They are seeking a Financial Analyst to support business planning and decision-making processes, focusing on financial analysis, cost management, and budgeting across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis to support business planning and decision making by presenting insights and recommendations to management
- Develop and manage standard costs for new and existing items
- Complete month-end close tasks, including monthly financial reports for the Executive Leadership Team and various Business Units
- Assist with procurement analysis and related projects including but not limited to spend analysis
- Partner with Logistics department to provide an in-depth financial analysis of actual spend on transportation costs
- Assist with Product and Customer P&Ls, assessing their profitability
- Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects
- Participate in preparing and compiling annual budgeting and multi-year planning processes for assigned categories of the P&L
- Utilize enterprise systems to consolidate data from various systems
- Perform ad-hoc financial and variance analysis upon request
Skills
- Strong Excel skills with experience in preparing financial reporting, analyzing financial data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and working experience with an ERP system
- Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial analysis, experience in manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or can demonstrate experience in relevant areas)
- Ability to work in a results-oriented, project-driven, real-time team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Cost accounting experience and knowledge of standard costing is preferred
- Food and beverage industry experience and manufacturing facility oversight preferred
