[Remote] Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and closing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Work with current OEMs and distributors to grow the business and meet sales objectives
  • Identify new OEMs and distributors to exceed sales objectives
  • Identify & communicate new product needs to Engineering
  • Develop sales tools and conduct regular training sessions to promote the suppression and detection systems, along with complementary products
  • Interface with customers and distributors to determine proper equipment for the application
  • Maintain sufficient quote volume in the territory to ensure order levels are met
  • Ensure quotations to customers:
  • Meet the customers’ requirements
  • Comply with company guidelines
  • Include documentation to explain the system
  • Result in company-approved profit margins
  • Follow all projects to ensure closure of orders – revise quotations as necessary
  • Assist with Customer Service and Order Entry and ensure correct information is provided
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable to collect funds from customers as needed
  • Review non-standard projects with Engineering and/or Manufacturing
  • Follow orders through manufacturing process, shipment and installation and start-up
  • Strive for continuous quality improvement of products and processes
  • Interface with other personnel as needed, i.e. MAGI, Sales Force, Operations improvement, etc
  • Collect competitive information to aid sales efforts
  • Interest in growth into a leadership role is important
  • Travel to shows and customers to review projects is required, mostly in the United States
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • B.S. in Engineering or Business and/or 3 to 5 years of application engineering or industrial sales experience
  • Strong technical ability and systems design experience
  • Strong interpersonal and oral, e-mail and written communication skills
  • Good marketing, engineering and analytical skills
  • Computer skills using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (365) and Sales Force CRM
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Strong customer service attitude and a quality-focused mentality
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to learn something new every day
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple and diverse projects
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment, while adapting to change favorably
  • Ability to think out of the box and work without excessive supervision
