[Remote] Data Analyst/Modeler II

They are seeking a Data Analyst/Modeler II to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports, integrate data from multiple sources, and collaborate with various teams to ensure data governance and meet reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports natively in Databricks, supporting multiple user views, drill-down capabilities, and segmented insights
- Integrate and model data from multiple enterprise data sources (e.g., Data Hub, operational systems, financial systems, etc.) into a unified reporting layer
- Implement complex business logic and transformations required to produce accurate, governed datasets for reporting
- Align solutions to Databricks Lakehouse (medallion) architecture including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture teams to ensure adherence to data standards, governance, and modeling practices
- Partner with Business SMEs to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements and ensure outputs meet executive and operational needs
- Optimize query performance and ensure scalability of dashboards across large datasets
- Support iterative development including enhancements, new views, and evolving data requirements
Skills
- Typically 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform development
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with Databricks / Spark-based data platforms
- Proven experience delivering complex, multi-source data integration and reporting solutions in enterprise environments
- Ability to operate independently in cross-functional environments, engaging with architecture teams and business stakeholders to resolve data gaps and define logic
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Azure/AWS) and Lakehouse architecture
- Deep understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) and data lifecycle management
- Experience building Databricks SQL dashboards or Databricks-native reporting solutions
- Proficiency in Spark, PySpark, SQL, and notebook-based development
- Experience working with multiple heterogeneous data sources across the enterprise
- Strong skills in data transformation, data modeling, and data pipeline design
- Familiarity with data normalization, dimensional modeling, and semantic layers
- Ability to implement complex joins, aggregations, and business rules
- Proven ability to design multi-view dashboards with drill-downs and segmentation
- Experience delivering executive-level dashboards and operational reporting solutions
- Strong understanding of data storytelling and usability
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, and Business SMEs
- Strong communication skills to translate technical solutions into business insights
- Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments
- Experience working with integrated data domains (e.g., product, service, resource, or asset/inventory data) is strongly preferred
