[Remote] Engineering Manager

They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale high-performing teams in building a platform that optimizes business systems through AI-driven workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative engineering culture
- Partner closely with product managers, ML engineers, and design teams to define technical strategy and deliver impactful product outcomes
- Drive the design and development of scalable backend systems, APIs, and services supporting complex enterprise workflows and AI agent orchestration
- Own delivery execution—ensuring projects are delivered on time, with high quality, and aligned to business goals
- Establish and uphold best practices across system design, security, reliability, and performance at scale
- Contribute to architectural decisions while remaining close enough to the code to guide technical direction when needed
- Hire and retain top engineering talent, building a team capable of operating at scale in a fast-paced environment
Skills

- Technical background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in an engineering leadership or management role
- Strong technical foundation in backend systems, with experience in Python or Node.js, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- Proven track record of leading teams that have built and shipped scalable, production-grade systems or platform services
- Experience working in enterprise or B2B environments where security, reliability, and integration complexity are critical
- Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with people management and delivery ownership
- Passion for building high-quality teams and systems that unlock meaningful productivity gains
