Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join arenaflex’s Technical Operations (TechOps) team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the airworthiness of our fleet, ensuring that every aircraft, engine, and component meets stringent arenaflex and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. While the position is remote‑enabled, you will collaborate closely with on‑site teams, leveraging digital tools, virtual inspections, and real‑time data to diagnose, repair, and document maintenance activities. If you thrive in a safety‑centric environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and enjoy mentoring peers, this is the opportunity to elevate your career with a world‑class aviation partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all maintenance activities in strict compliance with FAA regulations, arenaflex safety protocols, and industry best practices to protect personnel and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft structures, landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, engines, and avionics for damage, corrosion, wear, or any condition that could affect airworthiness.
  • Recommend repair, replacement, or modification actions based on inspection findings, and document recommendations with clear, actionable language.
  • Report anomalies, malfunctions, or unusual wear patterns to the appropriate supervisory personnel, ensuring timely corrective action.
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft components following detailed engineering drawings, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer service bulletins.
  • Repair or replace worn or defective parts—such as gaskets, couplings, cables, and pulleys—using precision hand tools, calibrated gauges, and specialized testing equipment.
  • Verify completed work through post‑maintenance inspections, confirming that all procedures meet arenaflex standards and that the aircraft is ready for flight.
  • Interpret discrepancy reports, maintenance logs, and verbal communications to diagnose root causes, develop troubleshooting strategies, and determine appropriate next steps (e.g., repair, defer, replace).
  • Research and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory guidance to execute maintenance tasks accurately and safely.
  • Review historical maintenance records to confirm that scheduled service checks, overhauls, and component replacements have been performed at prescribed intervals.
  • Maintain comprehensive repair logs, documenting preventive and corrective actions, parts used, and labor hours for auditability and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a technical mentor, providing guidance, training, and corrective recommendations to junior technicians and cross‑functional teams.
  • Utilize arenaflex’s digital maintenance platforms, computer‑based documentation systems, and communication tools to capture data, share insights, and collaborate across geographic locations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent recognized aviation maintenance credential.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience maintaining commercial aircraft, engines, or major components in a certified maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with aircraft inspection techniques, non‑destructive testing methods, and precision repair tools.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, arenaflex maintenance manuals, and industry safety standards.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear maintenance reports and delivering concise briefings.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with on‑site teams via virtual platforms.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging aviation technologies and regulatory updates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced avionics systems, composite structures, or next‑generation propulsion technologies.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s proprietary maintenance management software (e.g., ARENA‑MMS) or similar digital platforms.
  • Previous mentorship or supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to develop junior talent.
  • Certification in specialized maintenance areas such as FAA Part 145, Safety Management Systems (SMS), or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Fluency in additional languages, supporting global collaboration across arenaflex’s international operations.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of aircraft systems, component repair techniques, and diagnostic tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minute defects that could impact safety and performance.
  • Safety Mindset: Proactive adherence to safety protocols, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation.
  • Digital Literacy: Comfortable navigating maintenance databases, electronic logbooks, and collaborative software.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of technical findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for virtual teamwork, knowledge sharing, and cross‑functional projects.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to evolving maintenance schedules, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Mentorship Ability: Passion for coaching peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Tuition reimbursement for relevant aerospace degrees, certifications, or industry conferences.
  • Opportunities to participate in cross‑functional projects, including safety audits, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
