Position Overview – Senior Technical Game Designer (Remote)
arenaflex is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Game Designer to join a small, ambitious team of creators focused on delivering a brand‑new, multi‑platform AAA game. In this role, you will partner closely with the entire design discipline, acting as a technical catalyst that amplifies the design team’s creative potential. Key Responsibilities

- Mentorship & Training: Conduct regular workshops, code reviews, and one‑on‑one coaching sessions to elevate the technical proficiency of the design crew.
- Cross‑Disciplinary Support: Collaborate with art, animation, and engineering leads to ensure that technical solutions integrate seamlessly with visual and narrative goals.
Essential Qualifications
- Deep Expertise in arenaflex’s Development Platform: Extensive experience with Blueprint, UMG, Animation Blueprint, and the Gameplay Ability System (or equivalent systems in other engines).
- Strong Foundations in 3‑D Math: Ability to apply vector, matrix, and quaternion mathematics to solve spatial and physics‑related challenges.
- Proficient C++ Programming Skills: Solid understanding of object‑oriented design, memory management, and performance profiling.
- 2+ Years in a Technical Design Role: Demonstrated track record of delivering technical design solutions on commercial projects.
- Shipped at Least One Title Using arenaflex’s Platform: Direct experience bringing a game from prototype to release.
- Multiplayer Game Experience: Familiarity with networking concepts, replication, and synchronization for online play.
