Sr. Learning and Development Specialist

Under general supervision, the Sr. Learning & Development Specialist will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs within the agency. The individual will work closely with department leadership and the L&D Manager to identify learning needs, develop effective training strategies, and ensure the continuous growth and development of leaders and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Training Design and Evaluation (50%) - Develop effective training strategies and evaluate training programs. Training Instruction and Coordination (45%) - Conduct and coordinate training programs. Miscellaneous Responsibilities (5%) Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or similar role, preferably at Senior level. History of managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs. Advanced knowledge of general office procedures with excellent organizational and computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to type 50+ wpm. Up to 20% travel throughout Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County service areas. Valid California Driver's License required with current auto insurance and DMV clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Bilingual preferred. Background check required. Additional clearances may apply based on role.
