Why This Role Matters As an Account Manager – RWE Clinical Preliminaries, you will be the strategic bridge between arenaflex’s multidisciplinary research teams and our valued clients. You will own the end‑to‑end client relationship, from prospecting and proposal development through project kickoff and successful execution. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture trusted partnerships with senior decision‑makers, clinical investigators, and commercial leaders across the RWE, HEOR, and decentralized clinical trial (DCT) landscape.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and driving cross‑sell of arenaflex’s portfolio of services.
  • Project Initiation: Serve as the primary point of contact through the project kickoff (KO) phase, coordinating internal research, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless handoff to delivery units.
  • Proposal Development: Craft compelling, data‑driven proposals and pricing structures that align with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
  • Bid Management: Lead the bid process, ensuring compliance with arenaflex’s bid‑guard methodology, timely submission of deliverables, and alignment with client timelines.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Conduct thorough account analyses, map decision‑maker networks, and develop multi‑year growth strategies that position arenaflex as a preferred partner.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with internal sales, marketing, finance, and research teams to drive coordinated go‑to‑market strategies and achieve shared business objectives.
  • Data Entry Excellence: Perform accurate, high‑volume data entry tasks that support clinical trial enrollment, patient tracking, and study documentation, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Travel Flexibility: Allocate up to 25% of time for client‑facing activities, including virtual meetings, on‑site visits, and industry conferences, both within Illinois and across the United States.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Health Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop mid‑ and senior‑level business relationships in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare services sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of influencing cross‑functional teams and senior executives.
  • Solid understanding of clinical research processes, including decentralized trials, HEOR studies, and real‑world evidence generation.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, sales automation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Business Administration, Health Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or agency environment focused on clinical research, market access, or health‑technology assessment.
  • Familiarity with RWE data sources, epidemiological methods, and health‑economic modeling.
